Tour of the House

The seminary is a former convent of the Sisters of Adoration Réparatrice, an enclosed congregation of nuns devoted to prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. The seminary moved to this spot in 1975 when the nuns left, and has adapted it to its needs. The site on which it stands is also the home of the last Catholic Lord Chancellor of England, and the first layman to hold that post, St Thomas More. St Thomas was martyred for the Faith in the reign of Henry VIII.
