Tour of the House: Chapels
Chapel
The current chapel was consecrated in 1958, and replaced the original chapel of the convent which was bombed during the war. It was built by the French architect Corfiato and is of a similar design to the church of Notre Dame de France in Leicester Square. It is here that the seminary meets to pray every day the Offices of Morning and Evening prayer and most importantly the Mass, the centre of our lives as Christians. The Blessed Sacrament is also exposed daily for prayer, continuing the tradition of the nuns who originally lived in what is now the seminary. These religious sisters prayed before our Lord sacramentally present continually for 75 years.

Chapter Room and Oratory
These two rooms are spaces for the private prayer of the students and priests of the seminary, and are often used during the time given to personal prayer before breakfast each day in the morning. The Chapter Room has a particularly beautiful sanctuary area carved in dark wood and a wonderful acoustic meaning that it is also used as rehearsal space for the Schola Cantorum (choir) of the seminary.
