Born in Crotone (South of Italy), the first of three children. The World Youth Day 2000 occasion in Rome was the turning point of my life in which following the meeting with the Holy Father, young and old people offered themselves to serve the Church anywhere in the world. At first to leave my warm city and to land on the evening of 26th September 2000 in the huge cosmopolitan and rainy city of London was really shocking and in the first months I struggled with the weather, the language and different culture, but in all that God’s faithfulness and providence was revealed clearly and John Paul II’s words: DO NOT BE AFRAID TO OPEN WIDE THE DOOR TO CHRIST are in a sense a zikkaron (memorial) for me which today I feel have been fulfilled.
