There are now more men training for priesthood at Allen Hall than at any time in the last 10 years. This is wonderful news and very positive for the Church in our diocese, but...
...we still need your help.
SUPPORT US BY YOUR PRAYERS
The Lord told us to ask him to provide labourers for his harvest, and the recent increase in young men coming forward to discern a vocation to the priesthood is surely due to the renewed emphasis on prayer for vocations.
Please remember the seminarians and the work of the seminary in your prayers.
Almighty God, bless those preparing for the priesthood at Allen Hall, and all those involved in the life of the seminary. May they discern your will in their lives; may they grow in faith, hope and love; and may they lead others to know Christ and to grow in holiness.
We pray especially that you will call many people to the priesthood and consecrated life in our Diocese, and that you will give them the courage they need to answer your call.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Saint Thomas More... pray for us.
Martyrs of Douai... pray for us.
Thank you for your prayers.

SUPPORT US FINANCIALLY
There are a number of ways you can contribute to the fund for the training of priests for our diocese.
Each year the fourth Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday, is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. A second collection is taken up in parishes across the diocese. This is the main source of income for the WEEF, which pays for Allen Hall.
You can also help in a number of other ways:
- Donations: an annual donation (£10, £20, £50, £100) will help to provide books and other necessities.
- Sponsorship: gifts of £200+ will support the teaching required and provide for students who have no independent means.
- Bequests: leaving us something in your will helps to secure and build up a capital fund for our future.
